The Hawkeye Security and Electronic company standard for motion sensor installation is a height of 7.5’ and LED turned off. On dual-techs, we turn the microwave sensitivity way down, and bring it up just enough to provide proper coverage. Dual-tech motions come out of the box with the microwave sensitivity all the way up–this setting will cause false alarms.
