Icon4After further testing both in the field, and in our shop, it has been determined that the FireFighter device is difficult to test on Zone Type 16. It has also been found that it has its own built-in delay, which may eliminate the need for a 16 vs. a 9. We have confirmed our findings with manufacturers technical support. Going forward, we will set all of the FireFighter sensors to zone-type 09 and monitor them closely for any potential of false alarm. Until further notice, we will still NOT use this product with the Lynx system.

It is important to test items that are causing our customers issue. Testing in the shop and in the field provide our techs with the knowledge to help with items going forward.

These tech tips are intended to provide insights to small nuances to help with many different products we offer. It is the small attention to detail that separates an outstanding job from an OK one. Although these apply primarily to technicians, they will help others gain insight to what the technicians do – in small doses.
