What to do in Louisville for Spring Break
Spring Break is practically knocking on our door, if you don’t have plans you are probably starting to wonder what in the world you are going to do with your kids! Don’t worry, we have you covered with our stay-cation ideas! It is fun to be a tourist right in your own backyard and we want to help you do that!
Here are some ideas to help you keep your sanity, and hopefully prevent hearing “I’m bored.”
Head to the Louisville Zoo, this is such a fun place to spend all or part of your day! April 10 – July 5th the zoo will have Lego sculptures around the park on display for you and your kids to enjoy.
Make time for a baseball game at the Louisville Slugger Field, home of the Louisville Bats! They have lots of fun options for the kids in addition to the game that is going on!
If you and your family are still in the mood for baseball head over to the Louisville Slugger Museum. Get your picture taken by the big bat and then tour the museum and leave with a mini bat!
The Big Four Bridge is sure to be a big hit with your family, my kids always are excited that they are over the river and can watch the barges go by!
Take your family across the river for a show at Derby Dinner Playhouse. My kids feel like grown ups when they go to a show because they get to eat food off of the buffet, picking what they would like to eat and then sitting and taking in the show.
You could always top any of your outings off with some awesome ice cream from Comfy Cow! Ending a special spring break day that way would be like putting a cherry on top of a sundae!
Hopefully these ideas will help you cure the boredom in your house! Make sure that if you go exploring you let us know what you did!
