Subwoofer Hookup

For many subwoofers on the market, the subwoofer has an “LFE” input (Low Frequency Effects). We run an RG59 cable from the receiver LFE output, hook it up, and all is well.

Sunfire subwoofers do NOT have an LFE input. For these subwoofer hookups, we must add a “y” cable for the RCA connection so that we feed into both left AND right. Otherwise, we have connected only ½ of the amplifier.
