Many subwoofers on the market have an “LFE” input (Low Frequency Effects). We run a RG59 cable from the receiver LFE output, hook it up, and all is well.
Sunfire subwoofers do NOT have an LFE input. On these subwoofers, we must add a “y” cable for the RCA connection so that we feed into both left AND right. Otherwise, we have connected only ½ of the amplifier.
